Chris has claimed that he wants to make a universe without loading screens, a huge open world which has begun to come together. Some of the best visuals around combine with highly engaging gameplay to create a universe which feels both real and limitless.
From this small completed fragment, Star Citizen looks incredibly promising. The game is now in development and is updated regularly (if slowly), consisting of a few sample levels and ships. Huge public interest and support lead to the game's scope increasing to include FPS elements, more ships and combat missions, resulting in plans for one of the largest games of all time.
Popular developer Chris Robert's original plan for Star Citizen was a small scale space simulator. After raising nearly $150 million from Kickstarter, the game's scope has increased from its space sim origins to a full universe title.
